What did you learn about physical assessment and the role of the professional nurse?
Health Assessment Reflection Guidelines
The purpose of the Health Assessment Reflection is to document your laboratory experience to promote self-growth and understanding of the importance of physical assessment in the delivery of safe patient care. At the end of your health assessment laboratory experience, reflect upon your experiences, your knowledge, skills, attitudes, and your impressions.
Your reflection is to be written at the completion of all laboratory practice experiences. You are expected to submit your completed reflection (2 page typed summary) to your laboratory instructor at the time of your scheduled Lab Practical Final. See Health Assessment Reflection Rubric. Your reflection is an expectation of the physical assessment learning activities and will be included in your Professional Behavior and Participation Grade.
Use the ideas below to begin your notations. Each question does not have to be answered. These are limited examples to encourage your reflection focus. Formulate your own style. You may write using first person: however, you are responsible for using appropriate grammar and syntax and cite APA as appropriate (include cover sheet).
