Should we label foods that are made of genetically-modified crops?  I want you to look up one article that is for labeling and one that is against it.  Summarize both articles and give your opinion of whether or not we should label them.

“In the article Labeling Food and Ingredients Developed from GM Seed it states that safety is the first priority with the food we eat. Whether it is genetically modified or organic food, they need to make sure that it is safe to eat. Each country has its own law about food labeling. The Unites States has its own laws about how they label their product. They encourage the company to label genetically modified food or certain ingredients in their product.

In Labels for GMO Foods Are a Bad Idea it says that if you add labels about GMO’s it would just make the food look dangerous to people, when in fact some of it is healthier. Normally grown crops are more expensive than GMO’s so it can save money and could produce more. Something you can’t do with normally grown crops is added extra vitamins and nutrients to it. With GMO’s scientist have found a way to add vitamin A to golden rice.

In my opinion I think we shouldn’t have to add labels to for the GMO’s. You can have better products and they will be at a lower cost. With some of the food I will get better nutrients than I would in normally grown food.
