in class, we discussed how the New Testament and the Qur’an, if viewed as literature and not the “Word of God/Allah”, are reactionary texts. Of course, what they are reacting to is the present practices of Jews and Christians. Write an essay that show how both the new testament and the Qur’an revise and/ or reinterpret stories, teaching, or practices from texts that preceded them. In this essay, I am looking for specific examples and references to book, passages, suras, ayahs, etc.
