The city manager, whose goal was to reduce the budget, proposed eliminating 107 firefighter jobs. Local 42 objected to the layoffs, and helped to come up with a revised plan in which 33 positions would be eliminated through attrition and early retirement incentives. The negotiators additionally, identified management, civilian, and other positions that could be eliminated. Parties on both sides of the negotiation stated that they were pleased to arrive at a contract that saved money while avoiding layoffs of firefighters.

  4. Do you have a 32-bit or 64-bit machine? A CPU can process 32 bits of information or 64 bits of information at a time (there are 8 bits in a byte). When you download software from the internet, sometimes there will be one link for a computer that has a 32-bit CPU and another link if it has 64-bit CPU. That is why it is good to know this.
  5. What is the size of your hard drive?

Part B – If you have MIcrosoft Office

In this assignment, we want to see that you are able to take a screenshot and also have Microsoft Office.
