This assignment lets you begin practical consideration of concepts of education and training.

1. From your experience, select and narrow a course topic and target audience. Think about a 1-hour course session, or plan for students to study and work for about 1 hour, if self-directed. Create a brief statement of key information, based on your knowledge of the topic, the audience, any problem or opportunity that might be addressed in the course, and the learning environment.
2. Create at least 2 correctly written terminal performance objectives that your learners will be expected to meet during the course.
3. Discuss at least 3 ways in which your instructional design project may be different, if you use the competency-based learning model, rather than the more traditional ADDIE model.
4. Discuss the advantages and difficulties in using terminal performance objectives that address the affective domain, rather than the cognitive domain.
5. Explain how you would use Gagne’s 9 events of instruction with an adult audience, in a face-to-face setting, and compare and contrast your methodology with the use of the model with a group of online high school students.
6. What data do you want to study to tell you the effectiveness of an eighth-grade class? Why? What data do you want to study to tell you the effectiveness of a training program for first-line supervisors? Why?

Your response should use an appropriate organization approach and format. Use of APA is not necessary for this assignment.

SWOTT Analysis

Prepare, in a table format, a SWOTT analysis on any real company in the auto industry. As you prepare your analysis, it must be based on the following definitions for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and trends.

·         Strengths: These are characteristics of a company that are stronger than its competitors are. If a company is good at something, but its competitors are as well, then it is not a strength.

·         Weaknesses:These are characteristics of a company that are weaker than its competitors are. If a company is weak at something, but its competitors are as well, then it is not a weakness.

·         Opportunities: These are issues that are external to a company that can affect the company and its competitors in a favorable way.

·         Threats: These are issues that are external to a company that can affect the company and its competitors in an unfavorable way.

·         Trends: These are developing opportunities and threats.

Deliverable Format

The table should have columns with the following labels:

·         Strength

·         Weakness

·         Opportunity

·         Threat

·         Trend

It should have at least 8 rows for factors that you feel are important to the success of a firm in that particular industry.

For example, factors could include regulatory issues, financial resource issues, leadership issues, innovation issues, etc.

Cells should have 1–2 sentences of explanation as to why each has been identified as a strength, weakness, opportunity, threat, or trend. Not every identified factor will have all of its its row of cells annotated.

NOTE:  you may use either Excel or Word to make your SWOTT table. You can research the industry in general to analyze external factors and trends. For information of the chosen company, go to their web page s there is good information available. Also look at the 10k stock report as this will help.

A health care organization is comprised of different professionals who serve different functions. Their roles may determine how they view quality initiatives, including the different methods measurement and types of improvement tools.

Design a graphic organizer (such as a chart or table) that identifies a minimum of three quality measurement/improvement tools. Describe how they are used for measuring quality by at least four professionals in a health care organization. You must include at least one administrative health professional, one midlevel provider, one physician, and one auxiliary staff member.

Regardless of ideology, overwhelming scientific evidence suggests that the environment is changing and humans have played a large part in creating this change (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change [IPCC], 2007). • Identify the generation that you are from, for example, baby boomer, generation X, or generation Y.
• Examine how the issue that you selected affects public health directly or indirectly. How did your generation contribute to this issue?
• Briefly summarize how this issue came about. Explain what is predicted to happen as climate change continues with respect to the issue you have chosen. If you chose climate change as your issue, then discuss the predicted impact on health.
• Research how this issue is currently being addressed. Do you think this is a good strategy, or can this issue be addressed in a better way?
