Overview: Using the Final Paper instructions in Week Five as a guide, provide an overview of the topics you will discuss in your Final Paper. Your overview, just like your Final Paper, is expected to include a problem statement or description of the social problem you have selected, a discussion of the scope and consequences of the problem, and a discussion of society’s responses to the problem, including at least one alternative solution to the problem.

Academic Research Reminder: Academic research papers must meet university level standards of quality recognized by the academic community. What constitutes quality, academic research?

a. Primary (original) sources written by experts in the field of study.

b. Secondary sources supported by research in primary sources.

c. Credible sources (experts in the field; well-known theorists; sources which use primary and secondary sources to support claims).

d. Relevant research (materials are pertinent to the area of study).

e. In graduate work, the use of peer-reviewed journal articles (journal articles reviewed by recognized experts in the relevant field of study) is required.

f. Educational and government websites (those ending with a web URL suffix of .edu or .gov) may be appropriate in some cases but should be evaluated carefully.

 The overview of your Final Paper must be two to three double-spaced pages in length (not including the title page and reference page) and formatted according to the APA style guide. You must use a minimum of three scholarly sources (at least one of which must be found in the Ashford University Library) other than the textbook to support your claims and subclaims. Imagine you have been selected to conduct a recruiting and staffing training program for a group of new human resource management (HRM) employees at a health care company. You need to prepare a proposal for the organization outlining your strategy for the training program.

Write a six (6) page paper in which you:

1. Create an overview of the process and steps involved in human resource planning, recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring of employees.
2. Develop a comprehensive strategy for training new employees. Focusing on the role of the new employees within the organization.
3. Propose two to four (2-4) training strategies aimed at motivating the employees to learn key aspects about their new jobs.

Revisit the topic that you listed in your research proposal from Module 1, and do some research. If you have some trouble, you may need to narrow it a bit to find appropriate academic source material. Your selected topic will be the topic for your final paper in this class.

For this assignment, you need to complete an annotated bibliography of the sources you are finding for your research paper. As you continue to work on your project, add to your list, so that when you are ready for your final draft you can remove the unused citations and all annotations. After these things are removed, and your page is re-titled “References,” it will be ready to submit as part of the final paper. Here are the things you should look for in a good annotated bibliography:

• You use at least three university-level resources that are authoritative, correct, unbiased, current, and coherent.
• Your title is “References,” not “Bibliography.” Your authors are listed in alphabetical order, and there is a short explanation after every citation.
• Your citations are APA formatted (with hanging indent) and each needed block of annotation text is in the appropriate order.
• The work is formed in 12 point, Times New Roman font, with one inch margins all around.
